Something about that smile he was giving him made him feel different. Well, it wasn’t different, maybe just a feeling he hadn’t felt in a long time. “Er- well, I’m glad you’re back! You sure have a lot to catch up on, though.” He chuckled, a bit anxious for some reason. “I’m sure the other students will be glad to see you, the teachers too! Yeah?” He threw a thumbs up.

"I don’t know about that, I don’t think most people even knew my name except to remember I was the weird transfer kid." He said honestly before shaking his head and looking over at Nitori. "But I am really happy that I was able to have a friend greet me my first day back. I have missed talking to you."

The younger of the two quickly returned the embrace, setting his head against her shoulder and closing his eyes. He had been missing his sister more than anything while he was away. “I missed you too Nee-chan.” He said affectionately before letting out a long breath. “So much happened while we were apart. I wanted to talk to you.”

It felt nice to be able to embrace her younger sibling like that again. How long had they been apart? In all honesty, Toko didn’t even dare to think about that. All she knew that it hadn’t been the same without him around, and despite the daily texts and calls, without having Tsukumo around was just… strange. “I’m sure that there will be a lot to talk about,” she agreed before pulling her head a bit back to take a look at the white-haired male, a small smile on her lips. “I hope you’ve been well?”

With a small nod Tsukumo nuzzled against his sister once more before finally pulling back. “I have, a lot has changed Toko-chan.” He said before holding onto her hands. “But a lot more hasn’t.” With that he smiled. They hadn’t changed. Toko hadn’t changed, and that was one of the most important things for Tsukumo in the world. His sister, who had always been there for him, was still the same girl he could rely on when everything went wrong, the one he could cling to when things got bad, she was his partner, and so long as that didn’t change Tsukumo was happy. “You wanna take a walk Toko-chan?”

"Home, seems a lot different now."

"Tsukumo?" Nitori calls to his fellow classmate. He hasn’t seen him around school at all, for an awfully long time and nearly everyone has wondered what happened to him, assuming he might have moved, or probably got into an accident of some sort. "Is that actually you?"

image

He had been walking down the familiar halls when he heard his name being called by a voice he knew well. Turning around he gave a small smile. “Nitori-kun.” He greeted, waving at him slowly. “It is actually me. I am back.”

image

After walking a bit faster toward him, he finally stopped in front of him, giving him a welcoming smile. ”Welcome back! Me and the others have wondered where you’ve been! Were you sick? Hurt? Where have you been?” Nitori had noticed he seemed a bit too excited to see him back here again. Would Tsukumo find that odd..?

When Nitori was closer and smiling at him Tsukumo found it impossible not to smile back. He shook his head before rubbing his shoulder slightly. “I … had some family things to take care of that ended up taking longer than I thought it would.” He didn’t find the need to mention he had been in the hospital, after all it was for such a short period of time that it really wasn’t why he had been gone.

"I didn’t think anyone would miss me, I am glad to see I was wrong." He said honestly, beaming at someone who he had always thought didn’t like him but was quickly realizing he may have been wrong about.

"Home, seems a lot different now."

"Hey Tsukumo where have you been?" Hotsuma asked walking over to the younger member of the Zweilt before noticing he seemed off. "Is everything okay?"

Tsukumo smiled slightly when Hotsuma approached him He had missed everyone dearly and even though home felt different they didn’t. When the question came he wavered for a moment, perhaps he had changed while he had been away, perhaps he had grown or maybe “I have just missed everyone.”

"Nee, Toko-chan." He greeted back smiling as he saw his older sister.

She was just going to pull her brother into a tight embrace, happy to see him well and back again. “I missed you,” she mumbled softly, not planning to let go of him for quite a while it seemed.

The younger of the two quickly returned the embrace, setting his head against her shoulder and closing his eyes. He had been missing his sister more than anything while he was away. “I missed you too Nee-chan.” He said affectionately before letting out a long breath. “So much happened while we were apart.
